Objectives
The programme in forestry technology is designed to produce technicians capable of assisting in the establishment of forestry of forestry plantation and in managing forest resources.
A successful product of this product of this programme should be able to survey, plot and demarcate an area for forestry project and calculated volume of wood on a giving site.
Establish nursery for forestry and horticultural seed production; assist in afforestation project, in establishment of forest plantation and participate in community-forest extension programme; Identify useful trees, shrubs and herbs of economic importance in forestry, and identify disease symptoms in nurseries and in plantation.


The Department have finished making a plan in line with NBTE guideline to run higher national Diploma in Forestry. This will be updated as soon as the program starts.
